Q: How often should I get therapeutic massage?

A: The answer to that depends on the reasons for receiving the massage. If the client is coming in for pain relief due to an injury or structural issue, weekly massage may be appropriate. I often see clients monthly for maintenance and stress reduction.

 

Q: When should I not get massage?

A: The following is a list of some common contraindications for massage therapy. If you have any questions regarding whether massage therapy is appropriate for you call the office.

  • Some infectious diseases
  • Open lesions or sores
  • Severe cold or flu
  • Blood clots
  • Severe kidney or liver disease
  • Systemic infection
  • Fever

 

Q: Do I need an appointment?

A: Yes, we require an appointment be scheduled. Call, e-mail, or on-line scheduling available.

 

Q: What if I need to cancel an appointment?

A: Out of courtesy for other clients please call the office to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. Clients who do not call or fail to show up to their appointment will be charged in full.

 

Q: What will I wear during my appointment?

A: This depends on the type of service you are scheduled for. Some services require that you remove some or all of your clothing. You will never be asked to go beyond your comfort level and you are always covered with a sheet and blanket during your session.
